Having in mind the target group for my project I tried to keep the objectives realistic to achieve.
Because I wasn’t able to discuss the plan of the event with the participants, I thought how not to put them off or make them hesitant to engage once grab their attention on what I’m trying to get across.
By presenting salient information about home budgeting, credit union, pay-day loans and money saving tips, I think I managed to raise their awareness and increase their confidence in that matters. As a result, it will help the participants to make good decisions and encourage them to think about saving money and getting in touch with a credit union to open an account.

Identify how the skills and knowledge of the course supported the completion of the Graded Unit.

Throughout my whole project, where possible, I tried to follow the rules of the competent practitioner. (Cldstandardscouncil.org.uk, 2015)
First of all, I compiled the community profile of the area I was supposed to work in, to get the knowledge of the social, economical and environmental context of the community and determine the issues that affect it. Next, I performed the SWAT analysis of the group, to get the awareness of their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities, and to get it under consideration during my work.
Due to the fact I was forced to meet the need of the organisation while preparing my project, I couldn’t properly engage with the members to determine their need. At the very least what I could have done, was taking part in a lot of their activities to build some kind of relationship with them and to let to know each other. I thought it would be extremely important to gain their trust and ensure their positive attitude towards my event.

I planned the activity, deliberatively choosing the resources, which would be appropriate for such purpose and predominantly followed my project, without any significant changes.
Although I felt well prepared, I still was nervous during my presentation and had to dig deep, a few times, in my mind, to find appropriate wording, and trying to keep it flowing without any outage to keep the attention.

10. Identify areas for future professional development.

Definitely I have to work on how to be more decisive to get my way and say no to something I don’t agree with. If I would do this, I would be able to follow all the principles of community work and got people engaged in planning my activity.
I still need to get more experience, how to follow such process, because I wasn’t able to put into practice, what I’ve learnt during my study this time.
There are areas for development with my nerves while speaking in front of other people, as I still lack of self-confidence in that
