Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that, “Communicable disease means- an illness caused by an infectious agent, or its toxins, that occurs through the direct or indirect transmission of the infectious agent or its products from an infected individual or via an animal, vector or the inanimate environment to a susceptible animal or human host”( CDC, 2012, p.1). The main goal is to prevent the spread of the disease to the health care and into the community by breaking the chain and also to address the social determinants of health for every individual, as was highlighted by Healthy people 2020, “Create social and physical environment that promote good health for all (Healthy People 2020, 2016, p.1)”. Since one’s well being is enormously influenced by the environment and medium he/she is growing and living in.
