The thought of sitting in a chair for 4 hours doesn’t send a feeling of gaiety through your body. The teachers also are at unease when the STAAR comes rolling around. To most teachers, watching kids taking a STAAR test for 4 hours isn’t the most enjoyable way to past time. Many bad things also come with the STAAR and it’s not just the frustrating and time-consuming experience for students and teachers.

On average, it costs $90 million dollars to administer the STAAR each year. Conspicuously, students are getting lower passing rates on the STAAR tests. Every year the curriculum increasingly gets harder and too precocious for the students
