Board Members
The board members make decisions that impact how the program is run. They control the overall finances of the organization, and finalize the employment of any management positions. Board members have a responsibility to make sure SPARC continues to run smoothly, and is serving the clients to the best of its ability. They also have an obligation to fundraise a certain amount each fiscal year. They are the day to day leadership within the organization. Staff members are responsible for the safety and happiness of client while they are at the program. It is important that staff members know the unique needs of each client, such as disability, medical conditions, changes in medications, allergies, etc.. They should also be aware of changes taking place from higher up in the organization so they can inform the clients, as well as answer any questions. Just like board members, staff are also invested in the well-being of the client, as well as the overall service provided. They have a unique perspective because they are the ones who implement the changes the board puts in place. They also have a better idea how it will impact the service day to day.
Clients and Their Family Members
The clients are adults with disabilities, who SPARC serves. Their responsibility is to follow the rules of the program, and help create an environment that is welcoming to all clients served. It is important for the clients, and their families to know, about any changes that will impact how they are served at SPARC. Their unique perspective allows them to voice their opinions on how they feel about the services provided, as well as any changes that may occur.
