“The general reason to failure to anything you put your mind to is giving up”. My eighth-grade English teacher was a person I could always go to for any advice pertaining school. Mrs. Barnes was her name, she always told me to never give after failure because you will continue fail.
To enumerate, I was kind of was called and was a nerd in class only because I knew just about every answer to her questions. Just about every week of school Mrs. Barnes would give the class a novel to read and them would have to write a summery about them to prepare us for our SOL test. I was one of the ones in class who will remember to complete the assignment and ace it.
Therefore, I loved English it was my highest grade I had in out of six classes. My teacher Mrs. Barnes always had given me props on the good work I do in her class and it made me feel good every time. I’ve learned every technique that Mrs. Barnes had taught us to write a paper and I never had any doubts of writing them wrong. When it came down to the steps of writing an essay I did them.
Until, the day that I had to take my writing SOL test. The day of the SOL test I went to Mrs. Barnes for one more good luck advice and she told me “you will just fine do

I felt even worse when I had gone to Mrs. Barnes to explain what had happen on my test but before I said anything to Mrs. Barnes she told me, school polices that she and I could not discuss any that went and was on the SOL test. I will never forget the strong words of advice she told me “you completed the essay and you never gave up so if you didn’t give up you didn’t fail even if the test results said different failure comes from giving up and you didn’t”. The results came in and luckily, I passed just on the border line and I was the happiest kids that day. I couldn’t do nothing but to thank God and Mrs. Barnes for all the help that I
