INTRODUCTION
SMBC AVIATION CAPITAL is a leading global aircraft leasing company that works with airlines to help them with capital and the air crafts required for them to successfully progress their business. They operate worldwide with the whole range of customers from dynamic start-ups to well established national airlines. It mainly deals with the aiding of its clients (airlines) run their dynamic fleet as well as their airplane financing necessities. Apart from leasing they also deal in trading aircrafts with their investors if need be. They also obtain portfolios of airplanes from investors who desire yield on their investments. In case of SMBC they came up with the Leasing (provision of Capital and aircrafts) as one of their services. And the other service being provision of solutions to their airline clients manage their fleet and financing requirements. The other service is trading aircrafts to investors if required. Before actually offering these services SMBC Aviation Capital had to carefully study the market and take notice of which services were required to meet the demand on the market in order to satisfy those demands and have a service that is required on the market other than one that will have no demand what so ever. In the case of SMBC Aviation Capital as per Figure 4 you can see that it has a very broad clientele base which covers the whole world. Hence the need to provide a strategy that places the location of the business in a position that paints a beautiful picture of how SMBC Aviation Capital’s services and products are to be viewed. These include their shop fronts and mostly since its world wide its internet presence.
