I would like to begin by thanking you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to meet with me and listen to my story. Unfortunately, for me the result of the committee’s decision was unfavorable. During my phone conversation with Dean Foerst, she mentioned that you all believed I was extremely likeable and presented my case well. However, you all had significant concerns regarding my academic history and not providing a detailed enough study schedule that will guarantee my success at SHU Law. Therefore, I do not want my chances of returning to SHU Law to be ruined based on something that I might have misspoken or not detailed enough. I was offered the opportunity by Dean Foerst to write this letter and clarify any points that I may …show more content…
New York State Housing Finance Agency offers tax-exempt financing to multifamily rental developments in which at least 20% of the units are set aside for low-income residents known as “80/20” projects. As of December 2016, I have sent out over 106 applications to buildings located in Midtown or a few train stops away from Penn Station to alleviate the stress, hassle and travel time associated with commuting to school. I am also compiling a list of other 80/20 buildings and management companies located in my desired location. This batch of applications is expected to be larger than the previous one. I have also been taking preliminary steps to leasing a car. In case I am not able to get an apartment closer to Penn Station. I am making monthly payments towards a parking spot within my current building. During my 1L year, I did not work, and I appropriately budget myself to live comfortably and pay for all my living expenses. I budget my money so well that after the Spring semester was over, I still had money to cover all my expenses for the summer as I completed an unpaid internship until November when I acquired a full-time paid position at Mona Shah & Associates, PLLC. I also plan on taking advantage of opportunities offered by the Center for Social Justice as a Spanish
