SCOIS Interest Survey

Decent Essays
The SCOIS interest survey proved that I am mostly interested in Health Science and Human Services. I completely agree with this mainly because I have always loved to help people. My goal is to either be an RN in a local hospital or be a combat medic in the army. Both of them involve helping others and medicine during critical moments. Growing up I always played doctor and I knew I wanted to help people in the world. And at the age I am now I am one hundred percent certain that I want to help others and I just have a passion for it. My step-dad has diabetes and when I'm not working I give him his medicine and give him his shot when he needs it. He has really influenced me to love helping others and he has defiantly been my motivation to work

This was an incredibly rewarding experience as I had the opportunity to help freshman students assimilate into our high school dynamic. As a peer mentor, I assisted students with personal problems and mediated issues with teachers in order to maximize their learning experience. I also acted as a role model for my mentees by talking frequently about AP and Honors courses and how to be successful in such programs. I put effort into learning about each individual's interests and goals so that I could expose them to clubs and academic courses that they may appreciate such as the Biomedical Academy or our school’s robotics team.…
