After transcription they analyzed the data for several common themes. Before collection of the data, the researchers had laid out a specific plan for how they would go about analysis so as not to miss anything important. The pre-planning of the study and the audio record really strengthen the studies evidence findings. It shows that the researchers had considered the many techniques they would need to use to make sure they were able to obtain and store quality data for the best analysis. Another technique that strengthened the study was the use of a coded identifier so as to keep the participants anonymous. Because the participants were able to remain anonymous, they were more likely to be honest about their opinions and feelings of their family members. To strengthen the study, the researchers should have asked a few more questions on the patient perspective to obtain more data. For example, if they had asked the patients what their family members could do that would help with their SAH management, the study could potentially be more generalized to the SAH population in need of treatment assistance. As the evidence from the study stands right now, the information is very specific to the 18 individuals that were interviewed and their family
