S.E Hinton wrote the outsiders when she was in high school and did not plan to publish the story. Since then it has been made into a book and a movie. I think the book was bad because it did not give the effects that the movie did.I liked the movie because it had more of the story put into it detail wise.While the book and movie have many similarities and differences, the movie was more effective in telling the story.

To begin the first comparable scene is when the socs arrived in there cars. A similarity wa s that scared feeling when the socs arrived. In the movie there expressions were Tuff/Tough.
