After a few more questioning and cross-questionings, both attorneys rested. “May the disputing parties, please rise,” instructed the judge. “In this case of Mr. Ryan Canter versus Ms. Patra Canter, by the State of New Jersey, and the powers vested in me, I hereby grant you your divorce.” Judge Leona Pyle paused, then wiped a trickle of sweat from her forehead, adjusts her glasses, and continued to read the decree of the court ruling. “The court will award the five thousand square-foot home in Jackson, the two children, Sharon and Ryan Jr., the Bentley and the Jaguar and half of the CanterSoft Company . . . to Ms. Patra Canter.” A great out-cry erupted from the courtroom and Ryan Canter, too.
