Who was Ruth Johnston Stone? Born in 1930 to Knute August and Ruth Lillian Johnston. She was a shy little girl, who developed a lifelong love affair with nature at her mother's knee. Whether walking the woods looking for beautiful wildflowers to transplant or bird watching. One of her most vivid memories from her youth is the beautiful rose arbor her father built on their front walkway, at her mother's request. She has shared this story many, many times of the years, always with a look of pride and joy on her face. This shy little girl would go on to become a beauty queen and an independent young women making her mark at the FBI, before meeting the love of her life and going on a world
