The humanitarian award is an award for people who try to help society try to make lives better for those are in need of help. Russel Wilson is deserving of the humanitarian award for his efforts to raise money, spend time during his busy schedule to help others, and hosting charity events. Russell Wilson is big about helping children in need of help.He is also the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. With his busy schedule of football games, he still wants to make time to help the children at Seattle's children's hospital. He spends one day out of his week at the Seattle children's hospital. He plays to make people happy and to keep himself happy. There was one season where if he got a total of 30 Touchdowns a business would donate 75,000 dollars to the Russel Wilson foundation. He loves the kids at the hospital and how he hears they cheer him on it makes him feel even better to be playing. Most football players don’t have much time during the season to visit the hospitals of the city they play for. But Russel Wilson lost his dad to diabetes so he's always wanted to make sure that didn’t happen to anyone else. So Russel is always trying to make sure kids can live their lives and not have to worry about the facts of their illness. So for all that he does and the time he spends in his busy schedule, I believe Russel Wilson should be awarded with the humanitarian award. For his hard work on and off the field trying to make everyone's lives better, by spending time at the children's hospital, raising money for the hospital, and also for just being an all around nice guy. And that’s the reason why he deserves the humanitarian

I do not think Dr. Fend should get the award since he was caught and was punished for his “disobedience”. Another reason is because he never told anyone about what he had done, his daughter had found out after 15 years of research. I think that because since he made it obvious and he got caught which gave him a punishment by the Chinese Government. I don’t think Irene Opdyke should get the award since she only saved 16 people. Jose Castellanos saved 50,000 people and Irene saved 16, so that is my reason for Irene not to get the award.…

Shawnna - Essay 1 As a part of a family that actively supports, wears, and watches the Seattle Seahawks throughout the football season, it’s hard not to notice just how unique their Quarterback Russell Wilson is, on or off the field. In the National Football League, big things rarely come in small packages and it wasn’t until I gained my full respect for Russell Wilson that I realized what gave the 12th fans something extra to scream and shout about.
