Healthcare services are rapidly changing across the nation in central populations and as well as rural communities, but these changes are affecting central populations more than they are rural communities. In addition to more advanced health services, the communities in rural areas have greater challenges than those that live in urban areas. People in rural communities are being challenged to find primary health care providers that are close to home where they do not have to drive thirty minutes to an hour to be seen for common health issues. For people in rural areas they have to drive great distances just to get to a doctor let and a hospital and this can be a problem because of money and time. Not only is money and time a burden, have the transportation to get to a facility is also a problem. Most of the time there is not public transportation in rural communities, so if there is a problem with a vehicle or other modes of transportation then they cannot get to the doctor or hospital. Also, most of the people that live in rural areas are usually employed by smaller companies that might not be able to provide health insurance like larger companies are able too. A major influence in having access to health care is having the appropriate health insurance to cover it. By living in a rural area is the reason why I decided to do my paper over this subject.
