Comparing artists and their music has gone on since music first began. Each person thinks their favorite artist’s album is the best, while the other argues that his is the best. Those two artists and their albums are For King and Country with Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong., and TobyMac with Eye On It. …show more content…

These three genres may differ in sound, icons, and meaning, but they all share something: fans. Without fans, none of these genres would have risen and gained the popularity it has today. Honky tonk and rockabilly may have a large amount of fans, but outlaw country has a stronger fan base simply because they did not let anything stop them. They stood up and played the music they loved. This is the main reason why people believe that outlaw country saved country music, and this is why outlaw country music will never fade…

A ton of great music came out in 1975 including, Bob Dylan's Blood on the Tracks, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, Queen's A Night at the Opera, Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic, Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, the Who's The Who By Numbers, Steely Dan's Katie Lied and Rush's Fly by Night just to name a few. As all of these albums celebrate their 40th anniversary, I'm reminded of just how important 1975 was for music. While each of these recordings were monumental, there are four that standout as groundbreaking, Fleetwood Mac's self titled debut, Patti Smith's Horses, Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run and David Bowie's Young Americans. Fleetwood Mac was a blues band that emerged out of England in the late 1960s. After a brief stint with Bob Welch they were seeking a new sound.…

Music has the ability to change a life, and growing up my father exposed me to all sorts of albums as we blasted them in our garage till late in the night. This period of my life showed me how to appreciate any song or album i had landed upon, and to bask in how well an artist could make all these sounds come together in one piece, even if the music wasn't what i was used to. When i took some time to listen to The fourth and newest album, “Starboy.” Immediately after I finished the album I instinctively wanted to grab my friends and chill out in my garage as this album played in the background. With new albums like Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Solange’s A Seat at the Table, and Alicia Keys’ Here being released, The Weeknd, or Abel Tesfaye was going to have to up the ante on his latest album to come out on top among these R&B stars.…

In a world where conformity is king and sticking with the status quo is often a well-honed survival instinct, four-time Dove Award nominee Manafest has always found contentment in doing his own thing. And refusing to be anyone but himself has clearly served him—and his artistry well. Even on the heels of his wildly popular, bestselling album Fighter, Manafest (real name: Chris Greenwood) refused to settle into a familiar, if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it mentality when making the follow-up, The Moment. If anything, the Canadian born and California-based artist and author was even more compelled to dig deeper both lyrically and creatively.…

The song “Same Love” by Macklemore is a very powerful song that has a deeper meaning behind it. The Song “Same Love” had changed my opinions and thoughts about gay rights and homophobia(people who have phobia of gay) within the hip-hop community and the world. Also it want us youth of our society to think in a new direction. Humans in our society believe that the actions and activities that people are involved are either classified as gay or straight. “Same Love” starts off with the lyrics, “When I was in the third grade, I thought that i was gay, because i could draw, my uncle was, and i kept my room straight”.…
