Rummy is considered to be the third most accepted game amongst the people, next to the monopoly and scrabble. Rummy is generally a game in which players have to match a group of cards having the same sequence or rank and the same suit. The chief objective of the game is to build melds that comprised of sets, 3 or more cards in the sequence, 3 or 4 of a kind with the similar rank or runs, of the same suit. Also, you could get mixed runs in almost all the types of rummy as long as all seven cards are in sequence.
