Media Ruining Our Lives The Media is ruining peoples lives because kids get distracted, others ignore their friends or even family in public, and just about anyone can be endangered by fake people being online. This applies to all media, social media, the news, television, etc… We rely on technology so much because of social media, you get a bunch of people to like one thing and next thing you know everyone wants it (iPhones, Android, T.V. shows). The news televises everything, an important story comes up about someone important, and you can bet you will be able to find out the person's name, where they live a lot of important information that jeopardizes our security. I am not blaming the news ie saying they should stop doing everything they do, but seriously don't just give out all the info about the person.Social media takes up way too much of our time, it is guranteed that everyone looks at some form of social media apps, at least once a day. If you were to conduct a study or even make a chart at how many times a group of people of all ages, not just teens, it would be a shocking number which you could break down further into the amount per app. …show more content…
As stated before the media or even social media (technology to) is not that reliable, it has several faults interwoven within itself. Our security is jeopardized with every moment we get posted about or when we even post anything. We literally have an internal time clock of when we will die and we waste so much of the time of it being on getting on social media when in all reality that is just about as useless as staring at paint dry. Everyone thinks that we have it the best, but we are being screwed over by with all the amazing “perks” we have.
