Some people have little Self-control while others have better self-control. Not two human beings are similar. Some people are able to quit smoking after years of chain smoking while cannot stop even if they have been smoking for mere weeks. It would be wrong to subject people to an open buffet of drugs and test their self-control. Those who did not even give a thought to doing drugs before would surely consider it once; they have an open choice even if it is just out of curiosity. Legalizing drugs would produce more addicts and soon it will be a whole nation of addicts. Drugs were very popular in the first twenty years of 20 century but later they were banned and there was some reason to ban those drugs. We do not need sick beings, who needs looking after. A person cannot take care of himself while doing drugs, he needs somebody else to cook for him, clean for him and get him money. When the said person runs out of money to buy drugs from, he resorts to stealing money or doing illegal jobs for money. This shows that drugs cause the mental and moral deterioration of a person. Further, a study done by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration showed that in 2000 fatally injured drivers, around 18 percent had drugs in their system which was other than Alcohol
