The original short story was rushed to the point where it was not even proofread before being turned in. The short story “Ruff & Bark; Politics with a Furry Passion” was based off of an idea that I had humorously concocted in my head while discussing the Republican Primary with a Donald Trump supporter. The supporter of Mr. Trump blindly defended Trump on his platforms and policies flip flops, in such a way that it felt like I was talking to a dog who was blindly defending its owner. This is where the idea of portraying Donald Trump as a dog came from. No offense to dogs of course. Connecting both the reflection and the short story back to the lectures in class, I recalled that Dr. Christ had brought up the topic of political correctness in one of his lectures. At one point, Dr. Christ specifically referenced Donald Trump’s outlandish comments from this past summer. Dr. Christ, then proceeded to asked the class to have an open discussion
