A film producer, who doesn’t believe in Christmas, is determined to make the horror film Evil Santa 4, but things go horribly wrong when the real Santa Claus accidentally lands the role. STORY COMMENTS SANTA IN HOLLYWOOD is a family friendly, holiday magical fantasy filled with imagination. I don 't believe I have missed a single "Countdown to Christmas" movie this year on the Hallmark Channel nor its sister network Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. While I have my personal favorites, there is no denying that a massive hit this year was their film A Heavenly Christmas starring Eric McCormack, Kristin Davis, and the legendary Shirley MacClaine. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this film, and when I discovered that Gregg McBride was the screenwriter for this Yuletide treat, I quickly reached out to him for an interview. I was incredibly elated when he responded (and so quickly too). Gregg graciously agreed to answer a few questions about his passion for writing, his personal struggles in his own life, and even a bit about his future…

I believe that the tale Greda and the Reindeer is a fairytale for multiple reasons. This story opens with once upon a time so that is an indication that this story is a fairytale. There are good and evil characters such as the magic evil mirror. I believe that the mirror is evil because it is cursed. There is also a Snow Queen that is evil, she takes over innocent children’s lives.…

Christmas is a Christian celebration of the birth of Christ, though it also encompasses Greek, Roman and pagan traditions of giving gifts and feasting around the Winter Solstice. It is a time when families and friends come together to share food and exchange gifts (web). In How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss and A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, the main characters, the Grinch and Ebenezer Scrooge, are similar to each other in many ways such as their awful personality. The Grinch is a green hairy who is very greedy, stingy, and a little evil creature. He wants nothing to do with the Whos, hates Christmas, and wants the Who 's Christmas spirit to be gone.…

In Luc Jacquet's March of the Penguins we get to follow emperor penguins as they make their annual march to their breeding grounds in Antarctica. We get to see how penguins court each other and how penguin chicks are dependent upon the participation of both parents in order to survive it's first few months. While the movie shares some compelling facts about the penguins it also distorts the viewers in the way that it's narrated. Does the documentary shares similarities to Flaherty's Nanook of the North? My answer is yes.…

Scrooge was being his typical self, hating everything about Christmas, while everyone else was enjoying and being thankful for the holidays. It all started to change when the ghost came to tell Scrooge he was the one to save Christmas. Upon seeing A Christmas Carol on the night of Friday, November 18th, I had what I thought to be a firm understanding of the Charles Dicken’s classic. It was until the show was over that I realized my previous interpretation was completely senseless, with little to no opinion deriving beyond the script. As I dove into the performance in the Joan C, Edwards playhouse, I made personal connections that I had never made before when watching other adaptions of A Christmas Carol, in particular Scrooge (1970), my father’s favorite. Every detail of this performance aided in my overwhelming positive review, asserting this play as my favorite of all the revisions I have seen.…
