Illustrated as a dark-skinned older black man, Ruckus constantly is reminding other black people (often times the Freemans) that he has Re-Vitiligo, and that he’s actually white. If you’re familiar with the disorder, Vitiligo, are patches on the skin that begin to lose pigmentation, the inverse would be gaining pigmentation. He hates anything that has to do with being black and makes the extra effort to set himself apart from the negativity he sees in blackness. He would agree with What is Enlightenment? on the basis that black people are immature and need to have knowledge brought to them. Throughout the whole show he does nothing but uplift the values of white supremacy. He is stubborn and unwilling to see any other point of view. “White …show more content…
Personally, as a black person I can say that I have felt bad about myself because of the social stigmas that came with my skin. Like Ruckus and his Revitiligo, this is an attempt to run away from your black culture Wanting to change with that being the goal is a form of self hatred, and it’s pretty obvious that Ruckus hates who he

No one ever told me family could be deceiving and ruin your outlook on life, I had to learn that on my own. Growing up as a young black lady, my perspective on life was always pretty straightforward: treat people how you want to be treated, always have God in your heart, and know that there is so much I could achieve. Those cornerstones got me through most of my life. I had always been a charismatic, bubbly, lovable spirit. I was always the favorite child, family members adored me and saw me as ¨the one who is going to make it”.…

Throughout United States history, African Americans suffered through a great deal of discrimination, hate crimes, police brutality, Jim Crow laws, poverty, and hate groups. Incidents that transpired during this are not typically a part of the American school curriculum. One such example of hidden African American history was the destruction of Black Wall Street. Black Wall Street was one of the most successful black neighborhoods in American history. Okay, I’m not sure where and how to start with this, because either way it’s going to be awkward as it is for me and it would probably rub someone the wrong way. I have heard “self-hate” a lot time and cannot or can say that 100 percent of all cases of black celebrities are for vanity reasons. I do believe that the media play a significant role in what is going on in our world today, also, the individual who decides to “bleach” their skin or have themselves Photoshop to the point of no real recognition is probably peer pressured, self-discriminating to stay relevant and be favored, and some just don’t care. Yes, I agree you can pretty much Photoshop anything nowadays, but making your skin tone shades lighter than it is speaks volume; I can’t deny that I like how look in every pictures, but we all know that this is beyond photo shopping because there are people out there who uses lighting products and I know some of them personally.…

“Different does not mean deficient”, these wise words were said by Reverend Dr.Jeremiah Wright in his interview. The foundation for the injustices done to black people that have taken place in America transpired due to hate; and this hate stems from one major factor: being different. In their interviews, Dr.Wright and James Cone mentioned and elaborated on a lot of topics that, in my opinion, need to be discussed more often instead of what Kim Kardashian is doing in her life. Too often we find ourselves losing our consciousness to “Weapons of Mass Distraction” as Dr. J.V. Pimienta-Bey would so eloquently put it. “Unashamedly black and unapologetically Christan”(Dr.…
