I was born on Thursday August 13th, 1998, in Aberdeen, South Dakota at St. Luke’s Hospital at 3:05 p.m. I weighed nine pounds and two ounces. I was twenty two inches long. When people came to visit me, they noticed my long fingers and my lack of hair. My brother and sister would not let go of me.
As you know, my parents named me Jayleen Emily Ruby Lier. My first and last name come from my mom and dad. My dad’s name is Jay Dean, so my parents rhymed and named me Jayleen. My first middle name comes from my mom’s uncle’s middle name. His middle name was Emil and the feminine way is Emily. My second middle name comes from my Great Grandma Ruby.
My mother says I was a very good baby and that I barely cried. I guess that is true because I am the
