Rubin Carter was wrongly convicted twice of a triple murder, which destroyed his career until someone helped. Rubin Carter was born May 6th, 1937 in Clifton, New Jersey. Rubin grew up as a normal kid, he was first arrested at the age of twelve when he attacked a man with a knife; he was sentenced a six year term. Rubin had escaped and he joined the Army and began trainer to become a professional boxer. In 1957 he was arrested again and placed in maximum-security prison for stealing a purse. Carter became a professional boxer in 1960, he was nicknamed “Hurricane” for his lightning-fast fists.
