At a mere five weeks old, Felix and Dora were found shivering in a ditch alongside a road in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales. A kind couple had spotted them and began slowly approaching the stray kittens. The majority of this comes from the generosity of public donations and fundraising initiatives, as well as business partnerships, grants and RSPCA patrons. This year, RSPCA received 133,495 animals in their animal shelters and adoption centres across Australia.
The RSPCA wholeheartedly believes that animals must be treated humanely. Where the natural home of an animal once was, buildings now stand and roads have been paved. The RSPCA believes that when humans use animals or enter their habitats, they should be give the same care appropriate to other humans. Care should manifest in sympathy, consideration, compassion and tenderness towards all animals.
