Roy Fox Lichtenstein was born in New York City on October 27,1923, he would grow up in the Manhattan’s Upper West Side. His Father was Milton Lichtenstein and his mother was Beatrice werner Lichtenstein. When Roy was at a young age and growing up he was not really interested in art.More so he was involved in science and comic books. It was not till he hit his teen years is when he found his love for art. He attended high school at Franklin school for boys in Manhattan and graduated from there in 1940.
