Routines In Infants And Toddlers

Routines vary from child to child, therefore, it is imperative for caregivers to adjust routines that best fit individual children’s needs. In addition, routines are an important time for caregivers to build their relationships with infants and toddlers (Essel, 2013). So, to make this scenario more developmentally appropriate, I would put names above each crib lined up along the wall to personalize it for each infant. I would also assign a maximum of two infants for each caregiver, therefore, the infant’s care would be consistent. Lesson 11, in the online context, states that infants and toddlers should be provided with a personal crib or cot to sleep in located in the same spot (Essel, 2013). This is appropriate seeing as all infants are different,
