On January 13, 1999, a girl named Hae Min Lee disappeared. She was a senior at Woodlawn High School in Baltimore County in Maryland. She was described as smart, and beautiful, and cheerful, a great athlete, and as responsible. Right after school she was supposed to pick up her little cousin from kindergarten and drop her home. But she didn't end up showing. That's when Hae’s family knew something was up, when the cousin's school called because it was unusual for her to be irresponsible. Later on February 9, Hae's body was found in Leakin park in Baltimore, which was known for people finding bodies in the park. A maintenance guy who said he'd stopped to take a leak on his way to work discovered her there. He said he noticed a bit of her black hair poking out of a shallow grave. She died due to manual strangulation. Six weeks after she first went missing, Hae's ex-boyfriend, Adnan Syed, was arrested for her murder.
Many may ask themselves, did Adnan really kill Hae? Some may say that he did, while others disagree. I however, believe

In this episode, Koenig and Dana attempt to replicate the day’s events according to Jay and the state. She also examines the significance of the cell phone records as related to the route. They both attempted to replicate the day's event and they barely made it and that's that they basically rushed to the points. They also noted that if Adnan did do it he would of been late to track practice. Sarah Koenig states that “It does seem far fetched because there’s no room for any errors. Any pauses even. The buses, the drive, the strangulation. The moving of the body. The call. They all have to happen as quickly as they possibly can for the 2:36 call to work”(Genius.com). The 2:36 call being the call in which Jay said that Adnan called him to tell him he killed Hae and to come and meet him at best

The question that everyone is asking themselves is, who did it, was it Adnan, was it Jay, or was it a hitman that Jay knew hired by Adnan? What makes it more difficult are the changing stories, witnesses foggy memory and inconsistencies on what happened that day. Also the evidence that was gathered and presented can make one think Jay and Adnan definitely had something to do with her death however neither murdered Hae. After paying close attention to all the information that has been shared in the previous episodes; one can conclude that this theory makes sense.…

The many events in the revealing of the truth were both significant in some cases and in other, more proof that Jay was with Adnan the day of the murder like he says. Kernel events that Jay explains that help give authenticity to his testimony is the where about of Hae Lee’s car. Jay showed the detectives where she parked therefore making his statement more reliable. Another kernel event was Jays timeline of the day Hae was murder in comparison to the cell phone towers that logged where Adnan’s cellphone was located at during what time. Another event that Jay said took place was that they went to the mall after Adnan disposed of the body and Jenn met them there to pick Jay up, this is a satellite event because if Adnan had never murdered Hae in the first place who knows if they would have been there together, but Jenn is…

Adnan Syed - Guilty Ever since “The Judiciary Act of 1789”, the United States courts system has been accurately convincing some of the most ruthless and dangerous criminals the world has seen. It has been able to accurately distinguish the difference between innocent and guilty and kept lying criminals from escaping unscathed. The case of Adnan Syed is no different, even though Serial a podcast series narrated by Sarah Koenig may suggest differently. It is evident that Adnan is culpable of killing his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee because his claim of innocence just does not make sense, and the fact he has a reasonable motive makes him very suspicious; that combined with a witness named Jay, who was willing to testify against his good friend…

But contrary to that, he should not have been able to tell that he was high if he could remember that but not the call. Adnan comes right out and tells us “I do remember being high at the time because the craziest thing is to be high and have the police call your phone. I will never forget that.” (Koenig, “The Case Against Adnan Syed”). Being able to remember this detail but not being able to recall anything us from the day can lead us to believe that he killed Hae on this day and he is trying to cover up for it by…

Even with all of this in mind, the court sees him as the main suspect and is not dissuaded by his normal persona. They pin him as Hae Min Lee’s killer by using the jealous boyfriend stereotype. It is also bad for his case when there are phone records and accounts of him acting strange on the day of her murder. Jay seems to be the only one that has a story that is sound enough to have Adnan as the main suspect.…

While listening to the Serial Podcasts I heard many different people voicing their opinion on whether Adnan Syed is guilty or innocent. My opinion is that he is an innocent person who was wrongly prosecuted. The whole case is built on a timeline that has many flaws, and they call it a crime of passion or crime of pride. However, they have no evidence of how Adnan might have felt. In addition, they have no physical evidence to pin on Adnan.…
