All I had done for the past four years was work summers at a simple bbq booth called Brothers’ BBQ. I spent most of my time there obeying orders that my father furiously barked at me. I would watch him occasionally when I got the chance. His vast knowledge of every little detail in the booth was astonishing, down to the very last centimeter, he knew where everything was supposed to go. This is no surprise though, he has been running the booth for nearly thirty years. But he was exhausted from it, time had taken its toll on my father and I could see that staying there all day was a struggle. It was a beautiful summer day, the sun was shining and there was not a single cloud in the sky. Although it sounds wonderful this only meant one thing to me, it was going to get busy. With me were three other employees for the day. All of them were my friends that I had asked to come work for Brothers’. It made things easier knowing that all these guys were my friends, but still I was nervous the last thing I wanted to do was screw up and have to call my dad to come back.
