Continuing, Rosenthal interpreted the result when a teacher expects a student who is going to show greater academic development, they are going to show greater development. However, Rosenthal thought it was important to explain why the self-fulfilling was demonstrated in lower grades compared to the higher grade levels. Therefore, Rosenthal and Jacobson offered several reasons. The first one was that younger children are easier to change compared to older children. Second, the teacher still did not have a chance to form an opinion of a student’s abilities. Third, younger children are easily influenced.
