Rose quartz is opaque to translucent macro crystalline. It normally occurs in the cores of large pegmatites as solid masses of rose colored quartz crystals have poorly formed boundaries. When Adonis was wounded in combat Aphrodite rushed to his side caught herself on a thorn and blood dripped on the quartz it is a symbolism of love. It is said that Isis searches for river tumbled rose quartz to use on her face. Rose Quartz is called the “Love Stone” it is an all love stone. Rose Quartz are prone to fading and are best kept away from sunlight. There really isn't much history on the Rose Quartz. Beads were found in today's Iraq that date back 7000 bc. Rose quartz is an excellent stone to use in spells where the intent is to bring peace to a home or to a group of people. Place rose quartz around the home or office to encourage optimism and to dispel negativity. Rose quartz will ward off arguments and calm violent tempers.
