Rose Hulman Weaknesses

Decent Essays
I wish to attend to Rose Hulman because it is an excellent school with a strong focus on math and engineering. I still remain slightly undecided on my major between studying mathematics, physics, or engineering, however, Rose Hulman provides a strong focus in all of those areas. My greatest academic strengths are my work ethic and my ability to solve difficult problems. My greatest academic weakness, I believe, is solving simple problems quickly, since I tend to make very simple mistakes when I work too fast. Finally, I believe I will be a good fit at Rose Hulman because it is a school that has a strong alignment with my academic standards and

Archbishop Mitty is my first choice for high school. There are three main reasons why I want to attend Mitty: academic excellence, involvement in the Mitty community, and school spirit. With its reputation for strong academics, Mitty is a great place for an ambitious student like me. I am excited to challenge myself with honors and AP classes. I am also eager to have more math, science, and world language classes available to me than at my middle school.…

My grades are all averaging above eight percent, and I currently have a perfect attendance. My dedication and focus has earned me multiple awards within the past years of school, including Attendance awards, Honor Roll, and Excellence awards. Earning these awards involves being time efficient, and focused which will be both useful and insightful for me to have in a space like Kumon. To add I have learned many life skills as a person, being exposed to school programs, dance elements and the business field which have taught me to learn teamwork and…

It has come to my knowledge that there is a limited amount of spots in the ENG 102 class for next semester. I am one of the best candidates to continue into ENG 102 and thrive in Ms. Laduca’s learning environment. Although I do not fear that I have not already earned my spot, I will proceed to justify my case. I have been an adroit student of Ms. LaDuca’s for the last year and a half; she knows exactly what kind of student I am. Since seventh grade, I have been an ebullient honors student in the top ten percent of the 2016 cohort and have not received any grades lower than an A. I always exceed expectations, put in 110% of my effort, and achieve and maintain excellent grades at the same time.…

Transcripts During my time at Lemoore High School I have maintained a B+ Average, I have been labeled as a “Conscientious Student”. I was challenged by language classes such as, English and Spanish. Freshman year I received my first B’s in both subjects. I then was able to figure out how to better myself in classes and to maintain good grades, but the second semester of junior year I received a D in English 3AP.…

Auburn Application Describe extracurricular activities, including leadership positions, in which you have participated. My most significant leadership role has been my position as a color guard captain and marching band leader. I have learned to be observant of negative attitudes and how to avoid allowing situations to arise in which team mates might negatively criticize each other. I have also learned to maintain a productive atmosphere when our supervisors are busy with administrative organization. Most importantly, I have learned to lead by example, which includes maintaining a positive and energetic attitude and holding my self-standards high and always being respectful to the adults involved in the marching band program.…

Before addressing why Pitt is a good choice for me, I would like to review why I am a good choice for Pitt. The University of Pittsburgh values their “talented, diverse and high achieving students”, their “safe and healthy campuses”, their unique balance of “fun and camaraderie with internships and other learning opportunities outside the classroom”, and their focus on “developing students into global citizens” (University of Pittsburgh webpage, ‘Prospective Students’). I am a well-rounded student who places priority upon academics, as well as a broad array of performing arts extracurricular activities, over 300 hours of community service, several job experiences and religious organizations. Therefore, if admitted to The University of Pittsburgh, I would fit right in with the ardent and accomplished student body, just as I would benefit as a person and as…

Each college student knows what it is like to constantly worry whether or not the score on the ACT is high enough to get accepted into a school or if certain AP credits will transfer to the school of choice. It’s my junior year of high school, and I had just begun looking at colleges and universities I believed would suit me personally and educationally. Each school was severely critiqued on certain elements they had to offer, such as, majors/minors, clubs and organizations, pre-professional programs, and even extracurricular activities. This was going to be the place I would ultimately spend the next four years of my life, so I needed to make the perfect decision.…

The beginning of my undergraduate career is not impressive and not worthy of holding the title of a PA. A student’s GPA is important in order to be accepted into a medical school or any other healthcare professional school, I was well aware of that, but I did not hold the maturity to excel in my academia. However, I’m grateful to realize my mistake halfway through my semester and searched for help to turn the downhill route my grades were taking. In attempts to remedy my subpar GPA, I added a second major to help with my overall GPA; however, I did not choose a major that would be considered easy, but I chose Psychology, a major that is challenging. It soon became evident of my success in throughout the rest of my undergraduate years.…

Before attending Wilmington Early College High School (WECHS), I was not satisfied with my personality, nor was I happy with the way I was perceived by other people. Most would think that I should have been confident because in middle school I was in the AIG program. However, I never truly felt satisfied with myself. I always got good grades, but I never felt like I earned good grades. Although I was making straight As and Bs, it was always relatively easy to earn those marks in middle school.…

Thomas King 's Medicine River perpetuates the cultural history of homosexual erasure through its depiction of its characters solely in heterosexual relationships. This results in a narrative that constantly depicts men and women as invariably in search of a partner of the opposite sex in order to fulfil a culturally defined model of love and happiness. Sexuality is almost exclusively portrayed in a manner that suggests its purpose is solely to fulfil the requirements of the nuclear family. However, while sexuality only appears in the heterosexual model it is also exclusively performed by female characters. Heterosexuality is enforced by the male characters throughout the text, but also reproduced in the attitudes of the women.…
