Rosacea is a skin condition in which certain blood vessels, usually in the face, become enlarged giving the nose and cheeks a flushed appearance. The condition often undergoes flair-ups and remissions and is usually found in people over the age of 30 years. It is most often seen on the face, but may also occur on the chest, neck, ears or scalp. Rosacea turns darker and more persistent over time, and if not treated, pimples and bumps may form.
