You have lost another set in the volleyball game and you have given up, you do not think you can keep playing. Then the team leader steps in, that one girl who can pick everyone up with a single glance or word. Leaders are the people you look up to, they are the ones you want to imitate. The whole team just feeds off of her emotions, exuberant or despairing, it does not matter. The inspiring qualities of a reputable leader are courage and integrity. Courage is a defining quality of a leader. Not only do leaders have to stand up to adversaries but they also have to stand up to friends, "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends" (Rowling, 306). Rosa Parks was a woman of great courage, she took a stand against the unjustness of the Jim Crow Laws and defied them. …show more content…
Noone appreciates being lied to. That is why the best leaders have good morals and honesty. Dwight D. Eisenhower once said, "The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible... whether it be a section gang, on the football field, in an army, or in an office" (Eisenhower).
