The fire-like colour of the high walls of the jail room suggests an intense and serious atmosphere haunting around their topics. It also foreshadows the starting plot of the uncovering of the causes of Kovacs’transformation, which matches the fire Rorschach sets when he turns into Rorschach from Kovacs. At the same time, the fire-like color may imply the heated atmosphere of a bloody ‘hot’ war in a broader sense.
