Finally, we have Rooster who out of all the characters has the most True Grit. In the beginning of the adventure Mattie Ross would not stay behind so LaBeouf takes her and beats Mattie with a stick. Rooster then goes to pulls his gun and warns La Beouf to let her go. The Texan ranger tells rooster it would be the worst mistake of his life but because of Rooster courage he holds his ground and makes sure he stops the whipping. In the story its states, “Mattie Getting beat scene” (Pg#). (CHOOSE A SECOND REASON202) The reason why Rooster shows he has the most True Grit is because, he shows determination and displays incredible strength in the process of saving Mattie after being bitten by a poisonous snake.
