Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the thirty-second president of the United States. He served from 1933-1945 and was elected to four terms. Roosevelt was always known as FDR, and he served through the worst times in history. The Great Depression and World War Two were two major conflicts during his presidency. Roosevelt died April 12, 1945, while he was sitting for a portrait in Warm Springs, Georgia. Roosevelt then said his last words, “I have a terrific headache.” He died two hours later from a cerebral hemorrhage.
