This was a critical worldwide event of economic depression which took place during 1929 for most countries and lasted until 1939 when World War II took place.
Also consisted of the Wall Street Crash which began in October 24th 1929, losses of the month would total 16 billion dollars which was an enormous sum at the time.
Worst years would include 1932 and 1933 due to unemployment increasing to 23.6 percent to 24.9 percent (15 million citizens lost their jobs)
As Roosevelt was inaugurated, he began the “First 100 Days” which involved severe legislative activity. (1933)
The U.S began emerging from the Depression as they borrowed and spent $1 billion to build its Army from 1939-1941
