Purpose
The purpose of this lab was to find out the ideal period when a plant should be germinated. Regardless of the seasons, growing plants during different time periods could provide farmer’s higher quality crops. In hot temperature, plants absorbed natural heat from the sun which made increased growth rate. Plants germinated in room temperature effectively. But if the temperature was too high, it may damage the plant internally. While plants in the cold have a less effectively growth rate due to …show more content…
And any spilled water was cleared. A chart was created with the same format including days, growth, Plant A (Room Temperature) and Plant B (Cold Temperature) First the bottle was cut in half with the knife. The bottle was then filled with a partial portion of water. The bottle then filled with 10 cotton balls each portionally until it reached the water height. The following steps were done for both plants. The 8 seeds were equally divided among the two bottles and placed around the bottle on top and underneath the cotton balls. The first plant was placed in room temperature upstairs in the house while the other plant was placed in colder temperature downstairs in the house. The plants were watered 20 mL of water and measured equally regularly every other day. The measurements were recorded into a
