Doug and Tracy are about to get married, but two days before the wedding, the three groomsmen, which are Doug's two best friends Phil, Stu, and Tracy's brother Alan go to Las Vegas to party for 24 hours. The next morning in Vegas, they wake up in their hotel villa with the worst hangover. None of them remembers what happened in the past twelve hours. The villa is in shambles and there are things in the villa that don’t belong there. Also there are certain things that the villa is missing, which would be their best friend Doug. As Phil, Stu and Alan try to find Doug using only what little pieces of information they have at hand, they go on a journey of discovery of how certain things got into the villa. Roofies basically setup the whole movie of trying to figure what happened and discover what insane antics lead them to lose Doug before his wedding. Furthermore, the movie glamorizes alcohol as a party drug to make it more fun and enjoyable since you can let loose. Roofies on the other hand, are vilified through one scene with the doctor saying that Phil had high amount of Rohypnol in his blood and could have been rape, but looks back at his chart tells him he is fine and Phil has this sigh of relief. The film present accurate information on the drugs used and explains its effects when they used them. Likewise, the social climate of Las Vegas is to party, have fun and live your life to the fullest. There is a saying “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” because you party to hard and do things that wouldn’t normally, which can ruin certain of your life it came out into light. If you follow that saying you don’t have to worry about the consequences of actions, which you can experiment with drugs, get prostitutes and do some crazy stuff as long as you don’t get caught by the
