BRIEF SYNOPSIS
As a young boy, Ronnie Warren witnessed his older brother, Colin Warren and his father, a cop, kill a man. It was also witnessed by sleazy Gaffi, who just committed a robbery.
Years later, Colin is now the Chief of Police. Ronnie is also a detective, but when he accidentally shoots an innocent man, he’s leaves the force. He feels guilty about his actions and struggles with the break up with his girlfriend Lauren.
When the body of a man is found in the park, Ronnie becomes suspicious of his Middle Eastern neighbor Aameen Hassan, who he sees in the same area.

He’s also conflicted about his feelings about his neighbor. He has a nice character transition at the end when he reaches out to the stranger. He learns this from Aameen. He seems to become more tolerant.
Aameen is also a very likable character. His voice is sharp and there’s something very wise about him. He’s quiet, yet he says a lot when he speaks. Again, his chemistry with Ronnie is powerful.
Colin is believable as the brother, as is Mike as the detective. The audience likes Mike. The scene of him investigating the barn is tense and the audience roots for him. There’s a strong sense of foreboding when one knows he’s in danger.
Gaffi is considered a worthy foe. He’s sleazy and a cold-blooded killer. It’s just not believable that he poses as the FBI agent. He also doesn’t talk like an FBI agent when he says, “dead body” and “dead men.”
Lauren, unfortunately, never comes to life. The scene with the student, as mentioned, feels a bit contrived, just to give her more to do. One possible solution is to also make her a cop so that she can be incorporate more effectively in the storyline. It’s a creative
