Ronald Powell Convention Center
The Ronald Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland was originally constructed in 1970 with expansions in 1987, 2011, and 2014. The center features 45,700 square feet of exhibit space, a 38,790 square foot ballroom, and 23,739 square feet of meeting space in 27 meeting rooms.
A new state-of-the-art performing arts center is being added and will include a 1,200-seat auditorium and performing arts stage. It is expected to be completed in 2015. The new auditorium will replace the center’s existing stage, the first floor exhibit hall, and a portion of the second floor ballroom. The Maryland Stadium Authority will fund 25 percent of the $14 million construction cost. A portion of the cost will be paid
