The historic period of the film started with Ronald Reagan as a young boy, speaking about him being a lifeguard for 7 years and pulling 77 people out of a river. Following his job in broadcasting where he became a radio announcer in his 20’s. Furthermore, he became an actor in Hollywood. Next a corporate spokesman for GE (General Electric) which was during the 1950’s before he became a politician. In addition, Reagan starred in several TV commercials and traveled to many GE plants around the country giving speeches to other employee`s. Moreover, he was then fired for refusing to just speak about only the company and not his political views.
