American citizens vote for a president of America every four years. The citizens may choose if they want to be a Republican or Democrat. After a candidate won the election in November, he/she doesn’t go in until January. Some presidents do a better job at governing than others. President Reagan was elected as the 40th President of the United States in 1981 (“Ronald Reagan”). According to the biography “Ronald Reagan,” he served two terms or eight years as president. Reagan would change the country through “Peace and Strength.” Based on his environment, economy, and foreign policies, President Reagan was a successful president.
