One could say he was nostalgic and unable to accept what Conservatism was about. Furthermore, Ronald Reagan had various complaints about Conservatism. During those times the government was into everything the people were doing, including the clothes that one wore. In addition, Ronald Reagan felt the United States of America was something special, however that it was losing its personality and it needed to be fixed. Basically, Ronald Reagan felt that values, morals, America overall was becoming corrupted by Conservatism. This “corruption” as Ronald Reagan felt, was not anything new it had been happening since the 80’s. Additionally, President Ronald Reagan describe the corruption as a “city on a hill”. These beliefs and values relates to our current President Donald Trump’s campaign motto “Make America Great Again”. When President Donald Trump says this he is clearly stating that there is something wrong with America and that it needs to be fixed. Nevertheless, President Donald Trump talks about how he is similar to Ronald Reagan, however he is not consistent with his beliefs as Ronald Reagan
