He attended a high school at Dixon, Illinois and worked his way through Eureka College, where he studied economics and sociology(History.com).. He played on the football team, and acted in school plays (History.com)..Reagan became a radio sport announcer. In Southern California-1937,Reagan did a screen test for Warner Bros (History.com). he got a contract in hollywood as an actor, where he starred in 53 films (History.com).. In 1940 Reagan married fellow actress Jane Wyman, with whom he had two children. In 1948 they got divorced and In 1952 he married another actor-Nancy Davis, (History.com)

Like most people, as he grew older he became more conservative, while in 1960 he officially became a Republican(History.com).In the year 1964 Reagan enter the National radar when he gave a well received speech on television about the Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater, whom was a prominent conservative (History.com). In 1966 Ronald Reagan won governorship of The Golden State (That is California) by a margin of almost 1 million votes. He was Re-Elected in 1970. After making unsuccessful bids for the Republican presidential nomination in 1968 and 1976, he finally won nomination in 1980. It was Ronald Reagan with running mate George H.W. After leaving the White House in January 1989, Ronald Reagan and his wife returned to California, where they lived in Los Angeles(History.com). In 1991, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum opened in Simi Valley, California (History.com). In 1994 Ronald Reagan publicized his alzheimer's(History.com). on June 5, 2004, he died at his Los Angeles home at age 93, making him the nation’s longest-lived
