Romford Child minding is a child minding/nursery based in the Romford area of RM5 with 2 owners and 5 employees. Since most parents leave their houses earlier than their children in order to get to work, many parents use school breakfast club services which are slightly overpriced and do not provide adequate breakfast for the children. At Romford Child minding, the children are provided with a decent breakfast and a fun, enjoyable play area to play around in before being bought to their respective schools by the employees. The business also provides afterschool services if parents are unable to pick up their child/children. It was established in late 2014 therefore the business itself is quite new. However the owners and employees of the business have a wealth of experience in child minding and this is proven through a series of qualification in caring for children and having children themselves so they know what is needed in order to create a fun, enjoyable and safe environment for kids. For example, Mr Smith has made a payment of £70 for his son, Jimmy, to attend the breakfast club every day for one school term. To keep track of this, an employee writes this down on a piece of A4 paper and stores it in a file cabinet. The problem with the current system is it is very unreliable as errors can occur easily and can go unnoticed resulting in incorrect information. Secondly, it is very easy to misplace/lose the documents. Also it is very time consuming to write everything by hand. Furthermore, some people may misread the written information due to handwriting variation. My client Maggie Hussain has asked me to come up with a digital solution to this problem. The end users of the new system will be all the employees as they will need to access and edit the spread sheet when updating
