Romeo is in pain because of his first love in the play which does not exists in the whole play, but only in Romeo’s mind. Beside Romeo is in love with Rosaline but she does not return him her love. Meantime Romeo is really anguished and tries to find out the way for her to love him. On the other side Rosaline stand for an unseen character in the play, but she is very important for the whole story. And if it was not for Rosaline, Romeo would never meet Juliet. However he wants to sneak into the Capulet party in order to meet Rosaline. Unfortunately the destiny likes to play with people and instead of meeting with Rosaline, Romeo meets his “femme fatale”. Furthermore, the first speech of Romeo about love to Rosaline. she is Romeo’s first love …show more content…

In this speech we see that Romeo cannot be truly in love with Rosaline. And his words here are empty, yet he only tries to show his rhetorical skills and he succeeds in it. But no word is exactly for Rosaline. On the other side Romeo is in a painful love with Rosaline who does not want to be with him, but Juliet lives her careless life. But everything changes in the moment when Romeo and Juliet meet. Despite that Romeo has the only intention in his head when he enters the carnival in the house of Capulets. Intention is to meet a love of his life, Rosaline. Or he thinks she is the love of his life, until the moment he sees Juliet. Later after meeting Juliet, he acts as if Rosaline never
