I went to Vienna to pursue my dream of becoming an artist however I was turned down by the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts in 1907, which angered me. I deserved a place at the academy! I had little money and my dream of becoming a professional painter had been rejected leaving me with nothing to live for. While in Vienna, I absorbed nationalism which was quite strong. I was engrossed by the beliefs that a union between the Austrians and Germans could begin an expulsion of inferior races. I must say, I was impressed by people such as Karl Lueger with whom I shared his anti-semitic views and hatred of Slavs. I believed and continue to believe heavily in Darwinism, I finally came to my senses that the real problem in Austria was the Jews
