Romeo Romeo Film Analysis

Romeo, Romeo is a really interesting documentary that showed me a side of having a baby and what couples have to go through whether they are straight or not, who are unable to conceive on their own. Lexy dreamt of having a baby and experience what motherhood has to bring and Jess changed her mind once she met Lexy. I really feel for this couple because they are so in love and they really want to have a baby, but because of how babies are born and how biology works, sperm is needed. Because having a close friend be a sperm donor can provide certain complications, they go through an anonymous donor. I think having the donor be anonymous is something I would do as well. So many people have to go to great lengths to pay for the procedures and medicine. I think if most couples are not able to get pregnant by other methods, IVF should be considered. If a doctor were to tell me that I could not conceive, then I would definitely try IVF, but only up until a certain point in my life and then accept the fact that it may not be meant-to-be. I don’t want to try to have a kid for years and years because then I would constantly be worrying about it and not be able to live in the moment. It’s a long and complex process that may or may not work. Right now, I’m not really thinking about it because I still have my education and career to think about.
After they got their positive result, I was so happy for them that they finally were able to use the old method and get pregnant. Lexy and Jess tried so hard and tried different methods to get pregnant and finally they were able to get the joys most couples get after a few tries. They never gave up and supported each other throughout to finally feel the joys of parenthood. This documentary really opened my eyes to see what it’s like for most couples trying to
