Many people would say William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is a story of two star crossed lovers that end their story in tragedy as a result of their misfortune, however the true cause may just be a result of their own actions. The actions of everyone in the play from Romeo to Mercutio are responsible for their deaths. Tybalt from his hubris and his hotheaded attitude is to blame for the deaths of multiple people including himself. Throughout the play Tybalt has always been aggressive and asking for trouble in act 1, scene 1 on line 60 Tybalt says “What, drawn, and talk of peace? I hate the word, As I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee. Have at thee, coward” testifying …show more content…
During the beginning of the story Romeo is heart broken over a girl named Rosaline and he is so depressed about love then his friend Benvolio keeps urging Romeo to go and meet another lady a party, telling him theres plenty of women. Benvolio said in Act 1, scene 2 “Tut, you saw her fair, none else being by, herself poised with herself in either eye. But in that crystal scales let there be weighed Your lady’s love against some other maid that I will show you shining at the feast, and she shall scant show well that now shows best.” Benvolio manages to convince Romeo to come to the party. If Romeo never went to the party, Romeo would have not met Juliet and all these unnecessary deaths would not been here. The Prince out of everyone could have altered the ending had he made a different judgment while Romeo and Juliet still have a chance of being together. Had characters from Romeo to Benvolio modified their actions the course of the ending of the story could have been
